Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the event last?

Approximately 90 minutes, but this depends on the size of the group, the interaction and the questions raised.

Can l buy more of the wine l like?

Of course.   We'll provide you a single-use code during your event.

How many people can l have at one location?

We recommend a maximum of six people, so that everyone enjoys some wine and everyone can see the/ hear the laptop.

Do l need a laptop?

To get the most out of the session, we find that a laptop is essential.

Is a good WIFI connection needed?

Many of us have been using Zoom or other platforms a lot over the last year, and we've all found that a good stable connection is very important.

How long in advance do l need to book a session?

Owing to many factors (delivery companies, Covid-19, demand, etc.) we advise any session is at least 18 days from the day that the session is booked, paid and the full delivery information is provided.  We want this magical wine to get to you safely, securely and in plenty of time for the event.

Where in the World can the event be?

Some countries in the world are unable to receive wine by post.   We mainly ship to Europe, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Asia and Australia.   If you are not in one of these areas, let us know your requirements and we can see how we can help you.

Are wine tastings expensive?

We understand that the word 'expensive' is relative to who you are and your budget, but we believe that we offer is more than just six bottles of wine, it is a memorable experience.

What do l get for my money?

If you are in the US, the price of the each location session is only €599.

For this, you will get 6 Bottles of carefully selected Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines shipped from Châteauneuf-du-Pape in France, 90 minutes of learning and tasting with Guy Brémond, the co-ordination and running of the online event and priceless memories.

Do l need to download any software onto my computer?

We use Zoom for the events.   There are a number of ways to access this.   If you have not used zoom before, it is very easy to use, but we would recommend visiting their website before the event.

How do l pay for the event?

If you are participating on your own, then a single payment can be made.

If you are participating as part of group of people at different locations, then either a single payment or we can send invoices to each location.

Please remember though, that we can only begin the shipping process when the invoices have been paid and all delivery addresses are known.  This is noted in a previous FAQ.

What days do you run the Virtual Wine Tasting events?

As you will have seen from the website, we run a number of Experiences within Les Caves St Charles, including on-site tastings, Chefs' kitchen, wine export, a shop, etc.

We're also in France....

We therefore only run a few select events a week at the moment.

    • 7:00pm Eastern Time (if you are in the USA/ Canada) or

    • 19:00 European time (if you are in Europe)

  •  Sunday:

Such an exceptional and highly educational wine tasting. We all enjoyed the evening and talked at length about how much we learned.

A friend told me about meeting Guy in 2019, so trying this was good.   Being able to spread the cost of payments really worked for some of my group.   Thanks for the night, we learnt much and opened my eyes to new tastes.

We thought it would be a great idea to bring our friends together during Covid pandemic.   The evening was so much fun.    Thoroughly recommended.
